A Message from the Pastor
Welcome to First Baptist Church of Lacey!
As the pastor of this congregation, I want to extend a warm greeting to you. Whether you are exploring faith, looking for a new church home, or simply visiting, we are glad you are here.
At First Baptist Church of Lacey, we believe that the church is not just a building, but a community of believers united by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Our mission is to glorify God in all that we do—by proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and serving one another in love. Everything we do flows from a deep conviction in the power and authority of God’s Word, and it is our joy to faithfully preach, teach, and live out the truth of Scripture.
Centered on the Gospel
At the heart of our life together is the Gospel—the good news that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is God who, in His mercy, chose us before the foundation of the world, called us to Himself, and is conforming us into the image of His Son. Our lives are forever transformed by this truth, and it is our desire to see others experience the same life-changing grace of God.
Rooted in God’s Word
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, sufficient for every aspect of life and faith. Our worship, teaching, and discipleship are grounded in the Scriptures, and we are committed to helping each person grow in their understanding of God’s Word and in their walk with Christ. As the Psalmist declares, God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). It is our guide as we seek to glorify God and serve others.
Committed to Community
One of the beautiful realities of the Gospel is that it not only reconciles us to God but also to one another. As a church, we are a family, bound together by the love of Christ. We strive to be a community where every person is known, loved, and encouraged to grow in grace. Whether through Sunday worship, small groups, prayer gatherings, or serving together, we desire to walk alongside one another in the journey of faith.
